Home & DIY calculators

Square footage, concrete, paint and flooring calculators to plan home projects and buy the right amount of materials.

Measure once, buy right

Running out of materials halfway through a job costs a second trip; over-buying wastes money. These calculators turn room and slab measurements into the quantities stores actually sell: square feet, cubic yards, bags, gallons and boxes. Each one includes a waste allowance, because real projects always involve cuts, spills and uneven surfaces.

Measurements are in feet and inches, the units US stores use. Always round up to the next full bag, gallon or box, and keep receipts so unopened extras can be returned.
